Bernd Friberg began his career at the Gustavsberg workshop under Wilhelm Koge, and throughout his life produced many works on the potter's wheel himself, earning him the nickname ``The Hand of God.'' Along with Lisa Larson and Lindberg, he is one of the leading master craftsmen in Northern Europe, produced by the Gustavsberg Pottery. Although this work is small, it is a mini-bowl that is typical of Friberg, with a beautiful appearance that shows off the cinnabar produced in a uniform kiln, and is the perfect size for drinking sake or tea cups.
