Bernd Friberg began his career at the Gustavsberg workshop under Wilhelm Koge, and throughout his life produced many works on the potter's wheel himself, earning him the nickname ``The Hand of God.'' Along with Lisa Larson and Lindberg, he is one of the leading master craftsmen in Northern Europe, produced by the Gustavsberg Pottery. This work is named after the space epic poem ``Aniara'' completed in 1956 by Swedish poet Harry Martinson, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature. This piece has an especially beautiful glaze. It's the perfect size not only for decoration, but also for tea bowls. It is stamped 1974. The box is a paulownia wood box. The strings and slits of the gift bag are all made of silk.
